Boil half a cup of coconut oil with 1 teaspoon of fenugreek for a few minutes. When it is cold, massage the roots of the hair. Wait 1 hour and wash with shampoo.
- Aloe vera gel
Apply aloe vera gel to hair twice a week. Collect gel from aloevera leaves and apply it from the ends of the hair to the roots. Wait 20 minutes and wash off with herbal shampoo. Hair will stop falling as well as shine.
- Mehendi and mustard oil
Boil 20 henna leaves in 250 ml mustard oil. When it is cold, massage it into the hair follicles. Wait 20 minutes and wash with herbal shampoo. Use this oil once a week.
- Onion juice
Onion juice is very effective in stopping hair loss. Rub the onion juice directly on the hair roots. If you want to get rid of the pungent odor, mix a few drops of essential oil. Wait 20 minutes and wash off with shampoo.
- Egg yolk and honey
Beat egg yolks and mix with honey. Apply the mixture on the hair and wait. After half an hour, wash with herbal shampoo.
- Oil Mix
A few types of oil together and massage it into the hair once a week. Heat a little first. At the end of the massage, wrap the hair with a hot towel. After 15 minutes, open the towel and wait another 10 minutes. Then wash with shampoo.
- Olive oil, cumin and honey
Soak 1 teaspoon cumin seeds in 1/4 cup olive oil for 5 hours. Then strain the mixture and separate the oil. Mix a little honey in the oil and massage it into the hair roots. After 30 minutes, wash with shampoo. Using it once a week will work faster.
DO’S AND DON’T’S
1. Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables and low in starch. Fruit and vegetables contain flavonoids, which are mostly antioxidants that protect the hair and promotes hair growth.
2. Eat plenty of foods high in biotin and/or take supplemental biotin. Biotin is needed for healthy skin, hair and nails, and it can even prevent hair loss in men. Brewer’s yeast, brown rice, bulgur, greens peas, lentil oats and soybeans are good sources of biotin.
3. Include soy foods such as soybeans, tempeh and tofu in your diet. Soy appears to inhibit DHT (dihydrotestosterone), a hormone implicated to cause hair loss.
4. Use shampoos and conditioners that contain biotin and silica. Aloe vera gel, Vitamin C and E, and jojoba oils are good for the hair. Also, conditioners with chamomile, ginseng, and passionflower keep the hair healthy.
1. Do not eat foods containing raw eggs. Raw eggs are high in avidin, a protein that binds with biotin and prevents it to be absorbed.
2. Avoid crash diets that neglects any of the food groups. These can cause deficiencies in nutrients that are also vital for the hair.
3. Do not use a brush or a fine toothcomb.
4. Do not blow dry or iron your hair. Let it dry naturally.
